Chocolate Chip Scones

INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 table spoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups heavy wipping cream
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Variation: To make blueberry scones, use 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup blueberries (or any raspberries) instead of chocolate and be very gentle when stirring and kneading the dough
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees
- Mix all the dry ingredients together including chocolate chips
- Gradually add heavy whipping cream and mix with large spoon or spatula
- Putting flour on your hands, and flour and sugar on a dry surface, gently knead the dough 3 times or until together
- Form the dough into a ball, and flatten into a 1 inch thick circle
- Cut the dough into eight pieces, and sprinkle tops with sugar
- Seperate the pieces and place on baking sheet, with generous amount of space between each scone
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick can be inserted and come out clean/ tops are golden
- Remove to wire cooling rack
